Lots of water, sunblock, long sleeved shirts, shower stuff/flip flops, some sort of chair & cooler. I'm intentionally leaving out tools and spare parts as those lists get long.

Devon, I got your number through, Mtny. Im going to shoot you a text, thought we could carvan. Last year was my first. Looking back I wish I had!
Sunscreen, bigger cooler, CHAIR!, pillow, and plenty of fluids. Oh, it sounds homo but i'm brining chap stick with like spf 15, if you can bring a canopy it always helps as well. If your tracking, an extra set of brake pads is always a good idea.

Chair, that's what I usually forget. Sunscreen, batteries, advil/tylenol/goody's, cash, open/good attitude. Most n00bs tend to stick to themselves or each other. "vets" or whatever you want to call them don't bite so introduce yourself.

Drinking Shoes and aspirin.

In all seriousness... don't forget closed toe shoes, helmet, long sleeve shirt and long pants. Flash light is always good along with some gojo to clean up if you need to work on the car.

I can't stress that enough, I'm not going to walk up to anybody and say "hey who the hell are you?" The we-todd area should be pretty noticeable from a far, come over and a say hi.

Exactly... don't let the fire and booze scare you away. Also, if you forget something, don't be afraid to ask to borrow something. However, we may require some kind of payment, like a beer or something

Don't say racing. No trophies are given out unless you're the best ricer for the year + the we-todd awards whatever they may be this year.

You know you wanna win Expo, Jesus.

Aside from what everyone else said:

- I found it really useful last year that I had a tarp to cover all my gear when it rained

- Camera to capture tons of shenanigans for later black mail use...

- A present for Erik & my wedding.

- Car things I find useful: jack stands, jack, extra fluids, spare belts, basic tools, brake pads, etc. There will be a plethora of knowledge, spare tools, and helping hands should you run into any trouble, though. People have helped others swap plenty of spontaneously-broken car parts at every Expo and there are lots of people willing to call local friends, or run to the store to help out a good car buddy.

- And yeah, the beer and the fire should attract you - so come say hi!

love it or shove it.

Haha, well I don't mean racing as far as Expo. I plan to track a lot now that I have the funds to do so. Expo is just an introduction for me.

werd.

Mels, I want to win but I'm the only person who can kill everyone there if I don't, so I should pretty much be a shoe-in for something I would think.

Luke - yeah I had some interior panels I removed at the track, too, so it was nice to not have them rained on

Also, does it get uber cold there during the summer nights like it did when I was there in November (or whenever that was)?

I've been using a latching Rubbermaid bucket for most of my gear. Plus a heavy duty plastic tool case. All weather tight. I can empty car in about 2 mins.

Yeah, I also use one of those tubs w/a lid + tool case. SO much easier. But then there's things like: fuel jug, extra wheels, jack, stands, rack of lamb, sleeping bag, helmet, etc.
