picked up a spare b18c5 longblock yesterday that still has the og vin plate. I sent Joe the vin number he said it was from 2000 FBP, either 668 or 669.

I did some resarch on the registry and on ht therad "2000 itr list" it says 668 was a py R in cali, and there was no info anywhere on 669. I suspect this motor to be from 669 the last 6 digits on the vin are 003200.

So if anyone knows the where abouts of FBP 00-669 or last 6 digits 003200. contact me for more info.

Update: 5/12/15 car fax showed this ITR was scrapped "crushed" in 7/10/2003

Would love to find the original badge for the PY 2001 caR I recently bought. She is sporting 01-1295 right now but Joe has done some research and this is for a Canadian champ white car. Any leads would be great! I have been trying to reach out to Etank but no luck....

From an IM with Joe-
BTW, not sure if the owners passed along this info but she's not really 01-1295. That badge would have belonged to a Canadian Champ White car. Real badge should be in the 583-612 range but guessing closer to the 592 area.

Thanks!

The VIN does not directly correlate with the badge number, to be clear, nothing truly does. A member on here has done extensive resource mapping that allows him to match or make a calculated estimate of what the badge is/could be. WIth out Joe's dedication, this type of information would be lost and gone forever.

Alright, well Joe has been loads of help. Wasn't aware of the mapping technique, but if the info. is derived from that then I'm headed the right way. Thanks for breaking that down a bit more.

Hey Joe, I tried messaging you on fb to ask about a badge number. I'm curious if you've got any history on badge 00-0440? Thank you, Scott Ross.
