I've been posting almost every day on FB and spreading the word to the locals. Which I hope to have a couple catch on.

Even offering discounts on preparation items for anyone that signs up...

You are the man. Props to Esses Autoworks for pushing the event so hard and offering discounts on parts.

If it does get close to being cut, what about sponsors chipping in to help offset the cost some more. I'd hate to see this happen.

I have noticed that -- thank you!

I think that is definitely something worth discussing if it bridges the gap, yes.

I was already bummed that its this close and I won't be able to make it, but now I see that its getting to crunch time and the numbers are this low. If it were a weekend it'd be no issue for me, but I know a weekend at VIR is probably ridiculously expensive. There's already a couple people off in my office these days.

It's over $10k more, assuming a weekend is even available.

Tracks are not getting any cheaper (raising prices by $500-1000 per day annually, on average). This might be the last multi-day track portion for ITR Expo.

I think for the future we should try out more club tracks like Gingerman, CMP...ect to help keep cost down and maybe back in the summer time. I'm not sure if having it during school time is an issue

No care, you have floated this event for many years

How many car "clubs" have had a real track event for 16yrs straight....? Didn't think so....

I'll be sure to bring the below to pitout.

We can chat about that stuff down the road. The short answer is: everything is expensive now, haha.

The demand for good track dates has gone way up in the last decade too. There are many more groups who are running your standard HPDE events as well, so you can do the math when demand is up. Likewise, supply is up, and we're competing against countless other "track days" for people's time and money. Granted, we're more of an event than just a track day, but that's the story of today.

In the future, something with less track emphasis (money) and a bit more social to balance out the time and costs will be the only way to survive. There are many ITR owners who don't want to track their cars like they did years ago.

...

However, let's focus back on getting a few more payments for this year's event. Thanks!

Absolutely! What we've pulled off over the years is amazing. Unlike other groups, we don't have a membership fee to pad our bank account to help either. "Float"...heh, I'll share the full story of my personal contributions someday.

Let's make this one a good sign off on the old format. Have you all seen the new repave photos of VIR yet? The IMSA photos for this weekend look great!
